In doing so, the faction establishes new Strongholds and drastically changes power dynamics in the game’s open world. Ubisoft has briefed Stevivor on The Division 2‘s new endgame faction, the Black Tusk.Īs we’ve detailed in our report on what changes at The Division 2‘s endgame, the Black Tusk essentially undo all of the good work you’ve accomplished in Washington, DC. Again there is no benefit for keeping it green as this is not a strategy simulator (exception: the attempt to control all CPs simultaneously to get the bacpack trinket).Stevivor’s Australian exclusive Division 2 endgame report: Pay attention to the timer on the CP by checking it on the map as this tells you if you've completed it for the day. Move on to another while doing the small dynamic events that have solid red lines attached to the CP you want to attack and raise it to Heroic. There is no strategic mechanic in place to reward you for keeping them under your control, except as a fast travel alternative which IMO isn't worth the hassle of defending them once taken. The CP orange cache can only be earned once per day per control point regardless of alert level and thus escalating them to Heroic should be your objective, not maintaining control. They also provide steady blueprints as Alert 3 or 4.ĭon't treat them as strategic benchmarks as this isn't that kind of game, rather play them as daily repeatable content to challenge yourself solo or in a group.

That's just my two cents on it, others might love it? I'm hoping theres an update that even slows down how quick things get taken over because I turned it on today and was at the base of operations with everything gone back to the black tusks.Īt world tier 5, CPs are an excellent source of guaranteed GS500 equipment provided you escalate them to Heroic alert (Alert 4).

The gear you get from the grind of it, its crap too if you have your own gear done up any bit too? If you take down all the strongholds again does the map go back into the divisions control and then u have to help defend CPs, but not half as much, like an area type battle or is it the same where you are just outnumbered constantly hoping an elite group doesn't come up behind you? it would focus more on going getting resources?.

I thought maybe of you got a notification saying a CP was under attack and fast travel back you can help defend it maybe? If you didnt, maybe the resources can play a massive part? Like if there full you want lose it but If there low it's gone, etc. i no sooner have a CP taken over but I just lost the last one? but the constant back and forth is just too much. I get you dont get to control the map because from what I can see your not really supposed to "beat" the game. Thought it was cool at first, took over a control point, felt like I got to start the game again and there was missions and that too do.īut then I went to another control point but the one I left had a gun sign leading to it so I killed them on my way to the next CP, but after I got the next CP the one I had just done was taken back over within about 10 minutes if not less?
